What’s the Difference Between Massage, Chiropractic or Facilitated Pressure Release Therapy?
Each therapy has its place in helping a person or an animal to get well. Different therapies focus on distinct avenues to assist in the return of health.
Massage is a soft tissue therapy, addressing tension in the muscles and the connective tissues of the body with different types of strokes and varying pressures.
Chiropractic primarily focuses on the skeletal alignment with high velocity adjustments to move the bones back into place. This practice helps to remove nerve impingements that may be causing pain and a lack of health in the body.
Facilitated Pressure Release Therapy is a gentle, indirect pressure release therapy that addresses all of the tissues equally muscle, surrounding connective tissue (fascia), bone, internal organs and cranium; and allows the entire body to return to a natural state of health.
A person or animal in constant pain, acute or chronic, will often times be prone to mood swings, have a poor attitude, be ill more frequently and have a more stressed system over all. Their ability to perform well and willingly and to be happy and healthy is severely restricted. Being free from pain allows an animal or person to enjoy life, perform to their maximum potential and achieve their goals.
